2010 CONCERT DATES
October 16 at 7:00 PM – Loren Barrigar
Loren Barrigar, of the Barrigar Brothers, is a local favorite in Syracuse, playing at venues throughout the area as well as performing tour dates this year that take him as far as Tennessee. Barrigar started playing guitar at age 4 and performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville with Chet Atkins at age 6. Before settling down in Central New York, Barrigar studied with Jimmy Atkins, Chet’s brother, which led to a national tour with the family band. December 5 – Dan Duggan and Peggy Lynn will perform a song during the 10:30am Robinson Worship service

Peggy Lynn, referred to by poet Maurice Kenny as “The Voice of the Mountains”, is recognized for her soulful songwriting and extraordinary vocal versatility. Her work has been featured at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville, and in 1996, Peggy was selected “Adirondack Woman of the Year”.
Dan Duggan is known nationally for his wizardry on hammered dulcimer and flat picking guitar, and is the recipient of the National Hammered Dulcimer Championship.

The Folkus Project organizes and sponsors folk/acoustic shows at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society on East Genesee Street in Syracuse (just this side of Dewitt).
The Folkus Project was created in the fall of 2000 as a community arts organization presenting folk music concerts and workshops in the Syracuse (N.Y.) area.
