748 rolls of toilet paper were donated in July & August, filling the choir loft! The collection was divided 3 ways and distributed to Exodus 3 Ministries, Sarah’s Guest House, and Isaiah’s Table Food Pantry. The recipients were thrilled to receive this unique gift! Thanks to all who contributed
Uganda has recently suffered great drought and famine. Many thanks to friends and members of Robinson Elmwood Church for the monetary donations that purchased food to save people from starvation. The need continues. Donations of any amount can be made through the Robinson Elmwood Church website. These pictures show the thankful beneficiaries receiving maize flour and beans to feed their families.
This is a national campaign to assist with feeding needy children on the weekends during the school year. The Mission Committee signed on to partner with Bellevue Heights Methodist Church to support an additional 30 children for 3 years. That is a three year commitment of $9,000. There has been a great deal of enthusiasm from the congregation to support this program. ~450 students attend Delaware school and many are needy. Volunteers from BHMC pack the backpacks weekly and are looking for more assistance to support additional students. $100.00 will feed a student on weekends for a year. Robinson has already sent a check to the Backpacks national program to help feed 30 additional children, which began January 20th. A group of folks from the congregation has already been helping to prepare the food packs at Bellevue Heights.

The Annual Meeting of the Congregation and Corporation of Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church has been called for Sunday, January 29, 2017 during the end of the 10:30am Worship Service for the purpose of electing Elders and Deacons, hearing reports, receiving the 2017 Budget approved by Session, acting on the recommendation to merge with Elmwood Presbyterian Church, and any other business that might rightfully come before the meeting.

Peggy Lynn, better known as “The First Lady of Adirondack Music”, is recognized nationwide for her soulful songwriting and extraordinary vocal versatility. Her work has been featured at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville, and in 1996 Peggy was selected “Adirondack Woman Of The Year”. She has released six recordings, Determination, Chameleon, Bio Songs, Earned These Lines, Cloudsplitter and Close To The Sun. Peggy and Dan Duggan also have a newly released CD “A Stitch in Time”, songs celebrating the art and heritage of Quilting.
Dan Duggan is known nationally for his wizardry on Hammered Dulcimer and Flat Picking Guitar, and is the recipient of the National Hammered Dulcimer Championship. Dan has recorded four albums of original compositions, “First Frost”, “Last of May”, “Seasons of Change”, and “Trillium Lane” as well as three albums of traditional holiday music “Christmas Morn”, “Winters Eve”, and “All Through The Night. Dan’s recently released CD, “The Pieces of Our Life” original songs written with children, received a 1998 Parents Choice Approval Award. Dan’s dulcimer work can also be heard on Paul Simon’s CD “Your The One” released in October of 2000.

The village of Kinyameseke is in need of funds/humanitarian aid for food. Mission sent $500 for food.
EWB/Water Project for Uganda: The new semester at Clarkson has begun and previous and new members have met twice to discuss the water project. They have been in communication with Howard Crook, Kule, and Ngamije and are getting maps together. Howard plans to meet with the Clarkson group
The Peace and Global Witness Offering will be designated to go to Homelessness and Affordable Housing specifically A Tiny Home for Good. Funds will be collected until October 2nd when the campaign ends with World Communion Sunday. The director of A Tiny Home for Good, Andrew Lunetta, has agreed to give the congregation an update in the near future during a Minute for Mission.

The September Deacon’s Fund will be designated to refugee assistance. Fran Hunter researched refugee support organizations. The committee discussed options and determined that Catholic Charities will be contacted in order to gather more information and funds will be collected toward refugee assistance.
